Currently: Clinical lecturer in Psychiatry
I'm a clinical lecturer in Psychiatry and my research is in brain ageing. As a result I can talk about neuroscience, biology, psychiatry or medicine in general. No velvet couch required!
I've done several talks for schools and have also taken part in public events such as the Cheltenham Science Festival and the @Bristol Brain Awareness week. I really enjoy talking to the public and students about science. A large part of where I am today is down to the amazing science education that I received at school and I would like to return the favour.
I also have two young children so I have extensive experience of trying to explain complicated concepts in an accessible way to interested young people.
